Medico-Legal experience
Dr Mian completed her master's in medical law in 2010 and is undergoing her expert witness training. She is happy to be instructed by Claimant and Defendant law firms in both personal injury and clinical negligence cases. Dr Mian is registered with APIL and the UK Register of Expert Witnesses. She is happy to conduct home and prison visits and can produce reports within 6-8 weeks, sooner if required.
Clinical Practice & Experience
Dr Mian is a full time General Practitioner conducting clinical sessions in a salaried role and as a peripatetic locum in both the NHS and private sector in Greater Manchester working across different clinical commissioning groups. This has afforded her a broad scope of clinical experience delivering general practice in multiple, diverse settings. Accruing substantial inpatient and outpatient dermatology experience has established proficiency using a dermatoscope to diagnose skin lesions and regularly manage a wide range of complex skin conditions. Dr Mian completed her applied functional medical practitioner training for integrative medicine in October 2018 and has supplemented this with RCGP accredited training relating to nutrition, allergy, exercise and lifestyle medicine to ensure that integrative medicine approaches are explored within the scope of current approved regulatory body guidance and frameworks.

Research Aid to Professor John Harris Lord Alliance Professor of Bioethics and Director, Institute for Science, Ethics and Innovation, School of Law during funded intercalated masters.
Teaching & Training
Dr Mian remains an active member of the British Medical Association Trafford Division having served as secretary 2019-2020 and is arranging observational placements with the General Medical Council in fitness to practice.
