Professor Augustine has over 20 years of experience in kidney and pancreas transplantation, including living donor transplantation and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy and organ retrieval. His is the MAHSC Honorary Clinical Professor in Transplantation and was the Clinical Director of the Manchester Transplant Unit, the largest kidney transplant unit in the UK for nine years till 2019.

Mrs Murray has a keen interest in heart and lung transplantation as well as cardiothoracic surgery and actively pursued a position in this specialist field which resulted in a matron’s appointment in 2013.

Mrs Murray has extensive experience in undertaking root cause analysis and serious untoward incident report writing and has been called to give evidence in the coroners court several times.

Mr Paul David Waterworth

Mr Waterworth is a cardiovascular and heart and lung transplant surgeon. He is the lead surgeon for risk management in cardiothoracic surgery at University Hospital South Manchester. He has published almost 50 scientific papers and book chapters. He has more than ten years of medico-legal experience.
