Ms Claire Simpson is happy to be instructed by both Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence actions.

Clinical Practice & Experience

Ms Claire Simpson is a HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist, who qualified in 2018 with a First-Class Honours Degree. Following this Ms Claire Simpson graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2024 with an MSc with Merit in Applied Economics.

Prior to 2018, Ms Claire Simpson accrued a decade of experience within Occupational Therapy in an acute care setting at Stepping Hill Hospital Stockport (2008 – 2015) , covering trauma and orthopaedics, medicine and surgery, and stroke rehabilitation. This foundational experience provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the field, including modified diets, fluid management, and video fluoroscopy, all of which continue to inform her clinical practice today. With clinical experience in both health and social care settings, Ms Claire Simpson works with a diverse range of client groups, including paediatrics, and notably, she has specialised experience in teenage and young adult oncology, gained at a world-renowned centre of excellence The Christie NHS Foundation Trust.

Ms Claire Simpson possesses extensive expertise in housing, equipment provision, adaptations, and complex moving and handling having supported all ages of society. Ms Claire Simpson is highly skilled in conducting risk assessments associated with neurodiversity and offering advice on environmental modifications to promote independence.

Clinical Interests

Ms Claire Simpson is passionate about supporting all of society to access what they want and need to do as independently as possible within a world that is inclusive for all.

With extensive experience working with varied and complexed diagnostics which underpins her practice today.

Having established a private practice Occupational Therapy Service which supports the corporate sector with environmental design of our public spaces from blueprint through to completion. With a vision of future proofing universal design for all.

Management Experience

Ms Claire Simpson has experience as a Service Lead Occupational Therapist at the World renowned centre of excellence, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust (2022). Ms Claire Simpson was the Service Lead for the Teenage and Young Adult Occupational Therapy Service, where she developed and implemented innovative practices and policies aligned with best practices. She achieved a 70% improvement in service delivery by adopting an outcome-driven approach to patient care that prioritised young people’s goals. In this role, Claire provided senior professional leadership across multidisciplinary teams, including Car-T, Haematology, Proton Beam, and Adult services. She also supervised the Proton Beam Occupational Therapy Service and mentored Occupational Therapy students. Claire gained extensive experience liaising with local communities and is skilled in industry networking to support service objectives and growth. She also presented at UK and international Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) conferences via remote platforms. Her expertise includes implementing new assessment strategies to enhance service delivery and optimise resource allocation, ensuring efficient and effective care. Which has since led on to the establishment of her very own Private Occupational Therapy Practice working within the corporate sector to support and underpin accessible environmental design with new build corporate buildings ensuring improved independence for all through society now and into the future.

Teaching & Training

Ms Claire Simpson is an experienced Occupational Therapy student educator, having supported multidisciplinary collaborations to establish online student resources and frameworks during COVID 19 to facilitate revolutionary change from in person to remote student placements. Which to this day has underpinned a flexible student placement experience. Alongside this Ms Claire Simpson is skilled in UK and international Teenage and Young Adult (TYA) conference presenting via remote platforms.
