Mrs Bradshaw qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2001. Since then, she has gone on to further her career and expertise outside of nursing by completing a Masters in Teaching and Learning in Higher and Professional Education , a BSc in Leadership and Management and has become a Chartered Manager with the Chartered Managers Inststitute (CMI).
Ms Bradshaw previously worked at a Foundation Trust for over 20 years in various senior positions, gaining invaluable experience working in acute settings that include theatres, surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology and acute/elderly medicine. Mrs Bradshaw has a keen interest and knowledge of governance processes in previous roles, including report writing and investigations into complaints and serious incidents.
Mrs Bradshaw is a Non-Medical Prescriber and holds specialist qualifications in anaesthetics, recovery nursing and ophthalmic nursing.
Clinical Interests
In 2021 Mrs Bradshaw joined the University of Greater Manchester to teach Non-Medical Prescribing and has flourished within the field of Higher Education, being appointed as a Senior Lecturer in 2022 for Continuing Professional Development Programmes.
Mrs Bradshaw is currently working across a number of programmes, facilitating the Senior Leaders in Healthcare Post Graduate Diploma (PG Dip), where she teaches clinical governance, strategic planning and research. In addition Mrs Bradshaw has written a number of programmes and produced workshops in response to NHS local and national drivers, such as falls prevention.
Mrs Bradshaw continues to practice clinically in Accident and Emergency as a Registered Nurse.
