Dr Singh is an experienced NHS Consultant Psychiatrist and established medico-legal expert, regularly instructed by both claimant and defendant solicitors in personal injury and clinical negligence proceedings. He provides clear, balanced, and court-ready psychiatric opinion to assist with issues of diagnosis, causation, prognosis, capacity, and risk.

Experience and Professional Background

Dr Singh has been a substantively appointed NHS Consultant Psychiatrist since 2006. His clinical background spans acute inpatient psychiatry and, since 2015, community mental health services, where he manages a large caseload of adults with severe and enduring mental illness. Dr Singh has also contributed to Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust’s guidance on depression, explaining the condition and the role of crisis and home-based treatment teams.

He has particular expertise in the Mental Health Act, having served as a First-tier Tribunal medical member and currently working as a Second Opinion Approved Doctor (SOAD) for the Care Quality Commission.
