Ms Jackson is happy to be instructed by both Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence actions.

Clinical Practice & Experience

Ms Jackson graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2019 with a First Class BA(Hons) in Business Management Professional (Executive) in Health and Social Care). She also gained a Chartered Manager Qualification in 2019 from the Chartered Management Institute. At present, Ms Jackson is a Governance Lead in the Acute Adult Care Division at a large NHS Foundation Trust. Within this role, she is responsible for all aspects of divisional governance management including divisional risk management, governance arrangements, patient safety, complaints, and the broader aspect of governance including health and safety and information governance. She also provides division wide support and guidance to clinicians and managers in all aspects of governance.

Ms Jackson has developed an extensive skill set from her previous experiences as a Support Worker, Behaviour Therapist, A Multi Agency Training Officer and Quality Assurance Officer, whereby she has worked with numerous stakeholders and patients, providing support, undertaking assessments, delivering and designing safeguarding training, and working with agencies to ensure robust safeguarding arrangements are in place.

Management Experience

Ms Jackson has extensive management experience within her current role and previous roles as Head of Governance at the Wirral University Teaching Hospital where she was responsible for five direct reports covering governance portfolio; Risk and Assurance Team (responsible for incidents, National Patient Safety Alerts and risks across the Trust), Clinical Effectiveness (responsible for oversight of NICE, Audits, Confidential Enquiries, GIRFT), Complaints, Health and Safety and Legal Team (responsible for clinical / non clinical claims and Coroner's Inquests). Ms Jackson also had oversight and sign off of patient safety investigations. Throughout her role as Quality and Patient Experience Lead at the Tameside and Glossop Clinical Commissioning Group, Ms Jackson provided expert advice on quality, patient safety and governance within a commissioning portfolio. She also had oversight of quality (patient safety, experience and clinical effectiveness) throughout the commissioning cycle, from initial procurement of a new service, to embedding quality into the contracting process and ongoing monitoring arrangements. Commissioned providers included, Acute, Community and Mental Health Services, Primary Care, NWAS, NHS 11, Nursing Homes, range of smaller value contracts such as drug and alcohol services and Local Authority Care and Domiciliary Services.

Teaching & Training

Previously, between April 2018 and December 2020, Ms Jackson was an Associate Lecturer at the Manchester Metropolitan University. Within this role, she develop and delivered academic and theory based lectures for the Health and Social Care Executive Management Apprenticeship degree.
