Clinical Practice & Experience
Elizabeth Frances Moussa is an experienced clinical leader and registered nurse with nearly two decades of NHS service. Her clinical background spans a wide range of surgical specialities, including general surgery, obstetrics, cardiac, vascular, and urology. She has served in frontline theatre settings and later progressed to senior leadership positions, where she has contributed to improving patient safety, operational efficiency, and surgical outcomes.
She has held key roles across multiple NHS Trusts, including as Matron at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust and Interim Matron at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. In these positions, she provided strategic oversight for surgical services, led multidisciplinary teams, implemented quality assurance frameworks, and managed clinical and non-clinical staff. Her hands-on experience is matched by strong governance expertise, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
Clinical Interests
Ms Moussa’s clinical interests include perioperative care, patient safety in surgical environments, staff development in acute settings, and multidisciplinary approaches to improving surgical outcomes and patient experiences.
