On Wednesday 28th January, we hosted the first event in our Training Evening Event Series at The Spire Hospital, Manchester.
The session was led by Gerard McDermott KC and Michelle Hornsby FCILEx, who delivered a carefully designed programme for both expert witnesses and legal professionals. The training covered a range of key topics, including the selection and instruction of experts, developing a critical approach to expert reports, best practice guidance, recent case law, and the impact of litigation on claimants.
Gerard McDermott KC also moderated a panel discussion featuring leaders from across the sector: Fiona Tinsley (Brabners), Jennifer Dougal (Premex), Marc Harries (Clyde & Co) and Peter Walmsley (Horwich Farrelly). The discussion provided valuable insight into current challenges and emerging trends in clinical negligence litigation.
Each event in the series is designed not only to support the ongoing professional development of our clinical expert witnesses, but also to provide meaningful opportunities for networking and direct engagement with instructing parties.
