Expert Witness – Dr Afzal Haque
Specialist Endodontist

Dr Haque completed his BDS in 2006. He went onto gain a Master’s degree in endodontology with the University of Chester and completed this in 2015. Following this, he embarked on a three-year full time Doctorate degree and specialist training in endodontics at the University of Liverpool in 2016 and gained membership in Endodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2019. Following this, Dr Haque gained a Doctorate of Dental Science in Endodontics from the University of Liverpool with my thesis being ‘Restoration of the root filled tooth’. In 2023, Dr Haque was recognised by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Endodontics.

Dr Haque currently owns a Private Practice Dental Surgery and set up a referral Endodontic Centre.

Dr Haque has special interests in endodontics and dental trauma.

Dr Haque produced his MSc Thesis on Endodontics glide path and his Doctorate thesis on the restoration of endodontically treated teeth and a survey to general dental practitioners on how they restore root filled teeth, their thoughts and perceptions on decision making.

Dr Haque taught undergraduates’ general dentistry and endodontics at the University of Liverpool between 2016 – 2019.
Dr Haque taught Post Graduate MSc Students Endodontics clinically at the University of Manchester between 2019 – 2022.
Dr Haque teaches private two day Endodontic courses to general dental practioners.
Dr Haque has supervised MSc Dissertations for Simply Endo at the University of Chester.
