Clinical Practice & Experience
Dr Tuck has been a Consultant Diagnostic & Interventional Radiologist in general radiology at the Wythenshawe Hospital, part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, since 2004. Between 1993-2004 he was a Consultant Radiologist in general radiology at the Royal Bolton Hospital specialising in uroradiology, vascular radiology and oncologic radiology.
Clinical Interests
Dr Tuck has a special interest in uroradiology (kidney, bladder and prostate), gynaecological radiology and interventional radiology, in particular, ultrasound and CT guided biopsies, embolisation of fibroids, embolisation of varicoceles and CT guided cryotherapy of renal tumours, as well as nephrostomy and ureteric stenting. He regularly participates in the Renal Cancer MDT of Manchester University Hospitals NHS FT.
Management Experience
Between 2000 – 2003, Dr Tuck was Clinical Director of Radiology at the Royal Bolton Hospital, before taking on the role of Acting Clinical Director at the University Hospital South Manchester NHS FT in 2005. Between 2005 – 2007, Dr Tuck held the position of Clinical Director at the University Hospital South Manchester NHS FT (2005-2007), and between 2010 – 2013, he was Joint Specialty Lead for Radiology.
Research Interests
Dr Tuck has published in peer-reviewed journals on topics including Uroradiology, gynaecology, general surgery, ophthalmology, paediatric radiology, radiation legislation & safety, interventional radiology treatment of fibroids and uterine arteriovenous malformations (AVMs).
Teaching & Training
Dr Tuck has been invited to lecture at regional and national meetings on diagnostic uroradiology and the interventional management of fibroids.

Medico-Legal experience
Dr Tuck is currently undergoing his expert witness training. He is registered with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), Action against Medical Accidents (AvMA), the National Crime Agency (NCA) and the UK Register of Expert Witnesses. Dr Tuck enjoys a full medico-legal practice representing both Claimant and Defendant law firms in actions relating to personal injury and clinical negligence. His Claimant/Defendant ratio split is approximately 90/10 and he can usually turnaround reports within 6-8 weeks, sooner if required.
