Clinical Practice & Experience
Since qualifying as a Registered General Nurse in 2002, Rebecca has worked at a large NHS Foundation Trust within the medical division and has a keen interest in respiratory nursing. Predominantly her work has been on the respiratory wards but also in the community as a TB nurse. In recent years Rebecca has focused on improving care for the acutely unwell patients by implementing hands on clinical training striving to improve nursing standards and patient outcomes for all patients across the respiratory wards, acute care and complex elderly care wards.
During her 23 years as a Registered General Nurse, Rebecca has had experience in change management projects and improvements through ‘Lean’ processes and QI engagement. Rebecca led and managed the respiratory team through COVID, implementing care under quickly evolving circumstances. Rebecca developed a pleural service which has led to improved patient experience and outcomes whilst meeting / maintaining National standards.
