Mrs Holt qualified as a Registered Midwife in 2003. Since then, she has gone on to further her career and expertise in the field by completing a (Bsc) in Leadership and management in 2022 and becoming a chartered manager with the Chartered Managerial Institute.
Ms Holt has worked at a Foundation Trust for just over 20 years in various senior maternity roles where she has gained invaluable experience working in acute settings predominantly delivery suite. Mrs Holt has a keen interest and knowledge of governance processes, with previous roles involving report writing and investigations into complaints and serious incidences.
Mrs Holt has worked as lead midwife for education and worked nationally as a safety champion for maternity services, planning and implementing change projects to helpful fulfil the national ambition to reduce neonatal deaths and still births and maternal deaths by 50% by 2030.
Clinical Interests
In 2022, Mrs Holt joined the University of Greater Manchester to teach on the pre reg Nursing course, following 6 months practice she then transferred over to the midwifery team where she delivered specialist obstetrics to 3rd year student midwives.
Mrs Holt is currently working as program lead and senior lecturer for leadership programs delivering masters teaching to senior leaders within the NHS, she has also written and delivered teaching for maternal medicine and midwifery coordinators and aspiring leaders as CPD level 7.
Mrs Holt continues to practice clinically as a shift leader or maternity bleep holder to ensure her practice is current, evidence based and to also provide credibility within her teaching practice.
