Medico-Legal experience

Ms Griffin enjoys receiving instructions from both Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence cases.

Clinical Practice & Experience

Ms Sonia Griffin Qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2003 after completing her degree at the University of Salford, she now brings more than two decades of nursing experience to every clinical and managerial setting she enters. Her early career was spent rotating through a variety of acute‑care environments, including Accident & Emergency, Intensive Care, several surgical specialties, and cardiology/cardiac surgery, where she honed a robust foundation in adult nursing.

In 2005 she expanded her expertise with a BA (Hons) in Health Studies, gaining a deeper understanding of public health, health promotion, and evidence‑based practice. Building on this academic base, she completed an MSc in Leadership & Management in Healthcare in 2017, developing advanced competencies in clinical leadership, service development, and strategic healthcare management.

Recognising the growing importance of prescribing autonomy, she achieved Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification in 2021, securing independent prescribing rights that enhance safe, effective, and patient‑centred care—particularly within her aesthetic practice. Since 2016 she has undertaken extensive hands‑on training in a wide range of advanced aesthetic procedures, from injectable therapies and skin‑rejuvenation techniques to sophisticated facial interventions, and now owns and operates a successful medical aesthetics clinic.

Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated the ability to blend clinical expertise with strong leadership skills, delivering high‑quality, safe, and innovative patient care across both NHS and private healthcare environments. Her combined experience in frontline nursing, academic study, and aesthetic medicine positions her as a versatile professional capable of driving excellence in any health‑care setting.

Clinical Interests

As a Senior Nurse Leader and owner‑practitioner of a medical aesthetics clinic, she has cultivated a deep commitment to patient safety, the patient experience and evidence‑based care. Her clinical interests centre on delivering high‑quality aesthetic treatments—injectables, skin‑rejuvenation and advanced facial procedures—while integrating rigorous safety protocols and outcome monitoring. Leveraging her extensive nursing background, she combines superb clinical skill with a data‑driven approach, ensuring every intervention is both safe and aligned with the latest best‑practice standards.

Management Experience

Ms Griffin currently serves as the Associate Chief Nurse for Planned Care at Warrington and Halton NHS Trust. In this role, she works as part of a leadership triumvirate, taking responsibility for the nursing quality and safety portfolio across the entire care group. Her remit spans a wide range of services, including Digestive Diseases, Surgical Specialties, and Women’s and Children’s Clinical Business Units. Through this position, she provides strategic leadership, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinical governance, and service improvement are delivered across complex and diverse specialties.

Teaching & Training

Ms Griffin completed her Preparation for Mentorship Course in 2005, establishing a strong foundation in teaching and training. She has experience delivering education within the aesthetics industry, having taught in this field in 2021. In addition, she provides ongoing mentorship and supervision to non-medical prescribing students, supporting their development and ensuring safe and effective practice within the aesthetics sector.
