Mr Webster is happy to be instructed by both Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence actions.
Clinical Practice & Experience
Mr Webster graduated from the University of Salford in 2003 as a Registered Nurse (DipHE) with a Diploma in Professional studies in Nursing.
Folliowing this, he studied a BSc(Hons) in Leadership in Health and social care where he graduated from the University of Bolton in 2010 before completing a Post Graduate certificate in Management (PGCM) in 2012.
Mr Webster has worked in Acute and emergency medicine since 2003 across several hospital sites and NHS organisations in a Registered Nurse capacity. From 2008, he has held Nurse leadership and managerial positions within acute NHS trusts and his most recent appointment was at the Bolton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust working as the Quality improvement and transformation Matron where he led improvement agendas across multiple divisions working closely with NHS England, divisional leads and both divisional and executive board members, steering improvements in patient safety, clinical care, operational procedures, flow and capacity.
His areas of clinical expertise are Acute and Emergency Medicine, Same Day Emergency Care, Ambulatory Care, Discharge services and speciality medicine.
Clinical Interests
Mr Webster’s interests rest within acute and emergency care; he is an expert practitioner in the field and is passionate about ensuring the delivery of high quality, up to date, evidence based nursing care, fostering a culture of openness, honesty and integrity both in his own and his colleague’s practice.
He is currently undertaking further study in relation to patients receiving long term parental nutrition to widen his skills repertoire and demonstrate his commitment to continued professional development and lifelong learning.
Management Experience
Mr Webster has 18 years experience working in leadership and management positions within NHS care and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Management.
He is an experienced, self aware practitioner and is fully conversant with all aspects of clinical nursing practice along with, team & people management, HR practices, process and principles, Conflict management and resolution, complaint handling, incident review, investigation management and Root cause analysis. He is experienced in budget management, infection control, financial and staff planning, internal audit and compliance and fully aware of both NMC and CQC regulatory frameworks.
Teaching & Training
Mr Webster is an accredited nursing mentor / educator in practice and has completed post graduate qualification in teaching and assessing learners in practice. He has been mentoring both student nurses and students of other disciplines throughout his nursing career and is an active participant in their ongoing learning, regular reviews and ongoing assessments. He has contributed to the delivery of the trusts band 5 and band 6 training and career development programs and actively participated in training delivery.
