Spinal stenosis is a condition in which the spinal canal or spaces containing the spinal nerves become narrowed. It can affect the lower back or neck and may cause pain, numbness, weakness or problems with walking when nerves are compressed.
Cases involving narrowing of the spinal canal can raise complex medico-legal questions. These may relate to diagnosis, imaging, neurological symptoms, progression, timing of referral, treatment, surgical intervention and subsequent outcomes.
Our spinal and orthopaedic expert witnesses can provide independent, evidence-based medico-legal opinions and reports. Experts may review medical records, spinal imaging, neurological assessments, operative documentation and rehabilitation records. They can provide an opinion on matters within their specialist area of expertise.
