Mr Paul Nesbitt, Consultant Trauma & Limb Reconstruction Specialist, will be speaking on the second day of the CMSUK Conference 2026 – Tomorrow’s World.
During his breakout session, titled “Limb Reconstruction – What Does the Future Hold?”, Mr Nesbitt will share his expert insights into the latest developments in limb reconstruction following severe traumatic injuries, Orthoplastics reconstruction, bone infection, and deformity correction in adults.
About Mr Paul Nesbitt
Mr Nesbitt began his medical career in 2010 after graduating from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. He subsequently achieved a Diploma of Head and Neck Surgery (2012), a Postgraduate Diploma in Trauma and Orthopaedics (2014), and a national training number in Trauma and Orthopaedics (2015). After completing his FRCS examination in 2021 and Certificate of Completion of Training in 2022, he undertook the Smith & Nephew Fellowship at Leeds General Infirmary, developing advanced skills in complex trauma, limb reconstruction, bone infection, and deformity correction. He took up his current role as Consultant Trauma and Limb Reconstruction Specialist at Manchester Royal Infirmary in 2023.
Mr Nesbitt is happy to be instructed by both Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence cases. He is also actively involved in research, serving as a reviewer for the journal Strategies in Trauma and Limb Reconstruction and contributing to major trials such as WHITE-8 and ACTIVE.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Nesbitt has extensive teaching and training experience, serving as Faculty for the Manchester Trauma Course and the TL-Hex training course, and teaching medical students at the University of Manchester. He has also contributed chapters to key texts including Key Clinical Topics in Orthopaedics and Failed Fracture Fixation, Revision Surgery Made Easy.
