Medico-Legal experience

Miss Stott is happy to be instructed by both Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence actions.

Clinical Practice & Experience

Miss Stott qualified as registered nurse in September 2003. Since then, she has gone on to further her career and expertise in the field of Cardiology including opening and managing a sector pacing lab and managing and leading teams in Urgent and Emergency care including A&E. Miss Stott achieved her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Nursing Practice (2012) Later, Miss Stott undertook a Masters in Senior Leadership at Lancaster University (2024).

 

Miss Stott has worked across two hospitals, within Greater Manchester in both the acute and community setting. Miss Stott has also managed for several years areas in the Urgent and Emergency care footprint inclusive of the Emergency Department, SDEC (same day emergency care) and Acute Medical Units. She has worked as a Lead Nurse and further obtained promotion to Assistant Director of Nursing and Director of Nursing. Miss Stott currently holds the post of Divisional Director of Nursing in the North West of England – Adult Community Division Jan 2025 – present and previously Division of Medicine March 2023-Jan 2025).

Clinical Interests

Miss Stott’s professional interests lie in the delivery and management of integrated community and urgent care services. In her current role, she oversees a range of services within the Community Urgent and Emergency Care Directorate, including the Urgent Care Response Team, an Intermediate Care Facility, the Discharge Team, District Nursing, and a Community Diagnostic Centre. Her focus is on improving patient flow, supporting safe and timely discharge, and ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care across community settings.

Research Interests

Many modules within the MSC in Leadership including review and research of the impacts of Covid-19 on the health service.

Management Experience

Miss Stott has undertaken many leadership roles. She is currently the Divisional Nurse Director, Adult Community Services, where she is responsible for the quality and safety across the division. She is also responsible for the delivery of nursing care. Throughout her career, Miss Stott has managed and supported many services, including in patient and community teams including patient flow teams. Miss Stott has supported areas to achieve a high level of nursing accreditation awards and CQC success. Miss Stott has also supported teams to obtain a HSJ Award for service transformation.

Summary of Publications

Miss Stott has authored serious incident investigation reports and contributed to Divisional Assurance reports addressing quality, clinical effectiveness, finance, and performance. In addition, she has produced formal reports and chaired HR hearing panels.

Teaching & Training

Miss Stott has undertaken a number of formal and informal teaching sessions related to quality improvement work which was delivered both internally and on a GM level. Miss Stott held an ALS instructor status for over 5 years.
