Gillian Martin has vast experience within the Medico-Legal field. She is happy to be instructed by Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence.

Gillian Martin graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1992. She went on to achieve her postgraduate certificate and diploma in Medical Ultrasound. For over 30 years, Gillian Martin gained experience within the NHS and the private sector. Starting as a Radiographer in 1993, Gillian Martin has progressed onto the roles of Reporting Sonographer and Lead Sonographer at hospitals across Liverpool and Manchester. Currently, she is the Lead Sonographer at Ultrasound Care and Advanced Practitioner in Ultrasound at Atlas Diagnostics.

Gillian Martin has extensive clinical experience, specialising in radiography and sonography. She is responsible for scanning and reporting on general medical ultrasounds, as well as focusing more specifically on obstetrics and gynaecological ultrasounds.

Gillian Martin was responsible for ultrasound services in a large NHS teaching hospital, managing a multi-disciplinary multi-site service. Responsible for writing protocols and auditing scans. She has gone on to set up an independent Ultrasound company, at which she is the Lead Sonographer. She is a CQC registered manager and Safeguarding Lead. She leads multiple in-house CPD sessions.

Gillian Martin has reviewed, published, and co-authored various articles. These have covered subjects such as radiography, postpartum haemorrhages, and the role of ultrasounds in diagnostics.

Gillian Martin has taken on the role of guest lecturer and external examiner on the MSc Ultrasound course at the University of Liverpool. She has also been a guest lecturer at various universities within the Northwest of England, providing lectures on various topics, such as ultrasound safety and techniques.
