Medico-Legal experience

Ms Bosworth is happy to be instructed by both Claimant and Defendant law firms in personal injury and clinical negligence actions.

Clinical Practice & Experience

Ms Bosworth qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1994, where she worked in the Emergency Department until she completed a Diploma in Midwifery in 1999. Later she pursued a career as a Paramedic and qualified in 2017 and continued to undertake a BSc (HONS) at Cumbria University in Paramedic Practice (2023). Ms Bosworth has worked in the Emergency Department as a staff Nurse and a Paramedic for West Midlands Ambulance Service where she responded to 999 calls to the public. In this role she worked as an autonomous practitioner and gained extensive skills and knowledge in emergency and urgent care. She has skills in pre hospital assessment, triage and prioritisation of patients clinical needs, excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills, Advanced life support, trauma triage and treatment, scene management and working as a team. Working within her extensive scope of practice.

She has worked as part of a Community team for a Hospice, providing end of life care for Palliative patients, ensuring that they received excellent care and management of symptoms. Ms Bosworth uses these skills gained in her currently role as an Urgent Care Practitioner at an out of hours service provider. She has also has recently been offered a role as Emergency Care Practitioner at a Minor injury Unit, where she will work as an autonomous practitioner treating both adults and paediatrics.

Clinical Interests

As part of her current position, Ms Bosworth works with a team to prevent admissions to the Emergency Department. She works with cases directly from West Midlands Ambulance Service, General Practitioners and 111 and facilitates admissions for patients directly to the appropriate specialist services. She provides Telephone Triage with patients referred via 111 and the Ambulance Service and arranges appropriate ongoing care. Ms Bosworth has also undertaken further training and provides advice for a 24 hour Oncology Helpline for Shropshire and Lancashire NHS Trusts.

Management Experience

Throughout her career Ms Bosworth has worked as an autonomous practitioner in her roles as a Paramedic and Midwife. She has skills in managing complex cases and assessing and planning the care needed. She has gained management skills with complex scenes in the field of Paramedic, to be able to request appropriate resources and support the crews involved. Ms Bosworth has been responsible for Mentoring of students in all fields that she has worked in and supporting students throughout their training programme.
